We respond to between 50-150 incidents per year and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The brigade attends a wide range of different incidents including house fires, grass fires and motor vehicle accidents within Tooradin and our neighbouring communities. We also assist with larger campaign fires throughout Victoria when needed. Some of the benefits in becoming a CFA volunteer are:
| |
01 The brigade is particularly looking for members who are able to respond during weekdays. | 02 Our scheduling is flexible. Your level of involvement will depend solely on your personal availability. | 03 No experience is necessary to join as all your training is provided and CFA volunteers receive nationally recognised and accredited training courses at no cost. |
04 In your initial training you will learn all the basic skills and safety requirements to commence attending incidents. | 05 Once you have completed this our regular training will help you maintain your skills and learn new ones. | 06 Our brigade training sessions are held on Monday evenings at 7:30 pm by experienced trainers and run for approximately 2 hours. |
